My experience:
I have worked within the NDIS space for nearly 3 years in varied roles including Disability Support Worker, Service Delivery Manager, and now as a Support Coordinator. I have completed a Certificate 3 in Mental Health and currently studying my Diploma in Community Services (Case Management). The next step will be a Bachelor of Social Work.
What inspired me to do what I do:
After working in hospitality management for over a decade I felt like I was missing something in my career. I wanted to be able to leave work knowing I had made a meaningful impact on others. After a quick search on what jobs were in demand, I knew the NDIS space was the perfect fit for me and I haven’t looked back.
The most rewarding part of my role is…
I feel blessed to be welcomed into people’s lives and seeing the impact your work can have on others. I love when people start to see their own potential, it is the most rewarding feeling in the world.
A fun fact about me:
The famous singer Sia used to be my babysitter.
